*3 STEPS TO BETTER DIGESTION*

Often people bolt down their healthy/organic food on the run, assuming their bodies will just sort it all out and make sense of it all…Not So!

Those in the know presume that the process of digestion starts in the mouth….but it doesnt, actually the first step of digestion is in the mind.

If we eat stressed or on the run, then our bodies are in fight or flight mode no in digestion mode, so this will lead to your food not being broken down properly.

The second stage is in the mouth ~ if we bolt our food down without properly chewing then again our food will not break down properly.

In the stomach if we dont produce enough stomach acid because we were not in the right frame of mind, didnt chew properly, drank lots of water with our meal, eat too many enzyme depleted cooked foods and not enough enzyme rich raw food and many more factors, then large molecules od undigested food will hit the small intestine.

The small intestine is responsible for absorbing the nutrition from the food, if the molecules are too large, then ‘leaky gut’ occurs, sending large molecules of undigested food into the bloodstream and activating our immune system, stressing the body.

If the undigested food gets to the colon then it will end up being food for ‘bad bacteria’ and ultimatly send toxins to the liver, which when overloaded will back up into the blood stream…

SO ISN’T IT WORTH TAKING A MOMENT TO RELAX BEFORE EATING & CHEWING PROPERLY?

~ Make it a lifelong habit to always take a few deep breaths before you eat anything, feel gratitude and apriciation for the food you are about to eat.

~ Always chew your food until its liquid before you swallow.

~ follow the 20/40 rule, dont drink 20 mins before a meal or until 40 mins after.
