Homemade Energy Bars

www.magneticclay.com – April 2011 newsletter

Never thought of making your own energy bars? Well, these are easy to make, delicious, raw, organic, dairy/ gluten-free and packed with nutrients… what else could you want?

4 Medjool Dates

1 Tbsp Almond Butter

1 Tbsp Almond Meal

1 Tbsp Coconut Flour

1 Tbsp Flax Meal

1 Tbsp Shelled Hemp Seeds

1 Tbsp Sunflower Seeds

1 tsp Chia Seeds

1 tsp Bee Pollen

1 tsp Carob Powder

The best way to make these (on a small scale) is to wash your hands and start kneading the ingredients together to form a uniform dough. Once you have that completed, roll the dough into a cylindrical shape about 3 inches long and use a rolling pin to complete the job. Then, simply cut in half and voilà!

*This is a taster recipe that yields two energy bars that measure roughly 4.5”L X 1.75”W X .5”H. Once you see how yummy they are, you can multiply the ingredients on a massive scale and store your bars in the freezer for safe keeping. Feel free to email me for the nutrition facts.
