Research conducted by Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia has shown that brown rice contains natural compound in its varieties to prevent high blood pressure and heart disease.

Brown rice is also very good for health because its contain high fiber source, B vitamins and other nutrients. According to the research, brown rice has a natural compound in a layer of tissue surrounding grains which can inhibit an endocrine protein (angiotensin II) caused serious cardiovascular problems.

This is an important discovery because during this time the Big Pharma chemical drugs angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) have several unfavorable side effects in inhibiting angiotensin II. Brown rice as natural food sources are expected to function as a barrier of angiotensin II. Angiotensin II can constricts arteries, increases blood pressure and forces the heart to work harder.

According to Satoru Eguchi, one of the researchers, research will be developed for the contents in rice could prevent cardiovascular diseases. There is a possibility that more health benefits from eating half-milled or brown rice as opposed to white rice as the daily food.
