Ethics… or Ethics

Ethics, or Ethics

“If your morals make you dreary, depend upon it, they are wrong.” –Robert Louis Stevenson–

Values, morals, ethics; human tools for setting priorities that develop purpose for the human experience. I hear the warning in Mr. Stevenson’s words. A creed emerges from a gallant prophet; he declares that to find happiness, if we truly can, is the foremost duty of each human being, and the goal of any intelligent society.

Humans are capable of loving and giving. Humans are also capable of taking and killing. We humans have evolved in consciousness and awareness, we have lost our true identity, and adopted one created for us;  we have separated in our diabolical manifestations from our source. Our world today seems more un-aware than aware, possibly due to conditioning that would take from us the magnificence of simply being that which we were ment to be. Are we truly no more than “Human Resources” to be used, lied to, manulipated, a necessary cog in the consumable world greed has created for “WE the People” to live in?

Our society, nation, and the world has suffered from those whose moral character, who’s values and ethics are based on thinking in ways not considering or caring for the good of other people. Theirs is counsel that paralyzes a world, allows for a few to take so much from the many. Theirs is to create doubt in a world that desperately requires strength, a true heart, oh and honest responsible, representative leadership in government and business. I should say right here, I enjoy capitalism, would like to be rich, have nice stuff. I also should say that when capitalism becomes greed and exploitation, out-and-out stealing I feel there is a better way.

Have we elevated the ideology and mores of corporate life creating a belief system in which we pay homage to illusions of freedom, prosperity, spirituality, and life that in truth is destroying our way of life? Have we allowed this ideology to take over our political system? Did we allow the people’s money to be privatized at a meeting on Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia, (JP Morgans private retreat),  in which Nelson W. Aldrich, Republican and Chairman of the National Monetary commission, Abraham Piatt Andrew, Assistant Secretary of the United States Treasury, Frank A. Vanderlip, President of National City Bank of New York, representing William Rockefeller and the international banking-house Kuhn, Loeb & Company, Henry P. Davidson, Senior partner of the J.P. Morgan Company, Charles D. Norton, president of J.P. Morgans First National Bank of New York, Benjamin Strong, head of J.P. Morgan’s Bankers Trust Company; and Paul M. Warburg, a partner in Kuhn & Loeb Company, a representative of the Rothschild banking dynasty in England and France and brother to Max Warburg, head of the Warburg banking consortium in Germany and the Netherlands;  the greedy few bought our government for their own private agenda when they ment in 1910. Did their meeting truly begin the  creation of the Federal Reserve System? Have we even sold our spiritual wellness to the highest bidder by their scandalous dream of “NEW WORLD ORDER”?

So far this “New World Order” has achieved making the world darker, threatening our children and our selves with a hell fire ending to something “We the People” could re-invent. Will this insanity of egomaniacs be allowed to continue the gloom and doom leadership there ethics seem to support?

Todays world is becoming increasingly polarized between science and spirit. Science has given our world many great gifts, technology has given our world wonders we only could dream of 100 years ago. Are both limited to what is physically quantifiable? We are becoming increasingly divorced from the full dimensions of our total life process. Todays world is becoming more a life of living an intelligence of binary codes, bits and linear genetic codes. We are being conditioned to see the world as separated in so many ways.  In doing so we are slowly loosing sight of the wholeness we always were ment to be, forgetting that it will require the full participation of each one of us if we are to remain the human family we once were.  Our society, world, country and selves are moving in a direction of cold mechanistic terms and ethics. Are they truly ethics or the conditioned ethical belief system that has no true ethics? Are we even beginning to  place our bodies in a place where they are looked at as no more than elaborate machines? We have through our NEW AGE interpretations of who, what, why, where, and how eroded our reliance on beingness to our costly instrumentation of what we are told we are.

Will we allow those whom we compensate too much for to little to dehumanize our human condition? We also seem bent on constructing again another “Tower of BABEL”; but in a completely different way. Those whom we have given the responsibility to better our world through competent leadership have been doing anything but their jobs. Their “BABEL” has led our world to the brink of destruction, their new science has been  the science of manipulation and deceit for their own good. I often ask students, clients, and attendees at my open talks, “Do you truly know who you are”? Odd as it may seem most find that they do not, they are lost in a world they were told was best for them.

I find it hard to understand the ethics behind todays leadership. I also ask what the ethical principles are that “We The People” are using to form a more perfect union. Are we to see a more perfect Soviet Union, Feudalistic union, Corporate union or some other union succeed in our land of the free? Ethics to me are values, values are fundamental to the success or failure of any individual, social, corporate, religious, or government system. If the values, or ethics support selfish, self-centered egomaniacs will they also support the best we as people can be?

Today I feel I should proclaim a new science, a new study, one that could end the condition of both our world and our selves. As I bring this thought to words I am aware that some will find it offensive. For this reason I repeat something I have said many times, “we should always agree that it is okay to dis-agree”. I would suggest “The science of Spirit”, not a religion, just a science of spirit, not theology but a sincere study of what the human spirit is and could achieve if allowed to. There are in many ways today scientific evidence that “Spirit” does exist.  As matter eventually becomes nothing it seem that the existence of spirit is proved, after all “From nothing did it come to be as something now exists”.

We human beings are  anything but human beings in the world created for us by those who would destroy the human spirit. Could the science of spirit change the way we see ourselves and the world we live in? Could the science of spirit open our eyes to the best we could be on this earth? Would we possibly stop using God to make war over? The human being is an animal of perception, of creative thought, of insight and creativity. We are truly a transpersonal, transphysical reality.

Government seems to have its ethics as well as corporations. Wall Street bankers have their ethics as well as the for profit medical community. Even our judicial system has its ethics; and for the most part they seem to  share the same ethics. If that sounds a little off I would suggest waking up and stop the dreaming. They, after all are the ones making or breaking the world we ALL live in today.

The “science of spirit” would require the human animal to once again open up to its soul force strengthening and clarifying a path of true abundance, peace, freedom, for the independent yet interdependent human being and human family. Quantifying the fact of “Spirit” would be its goal. From this science we might find that true ethics are based on love, a timeless wisdom that would heal self, society, nations, and our world. There would be no room for  greed, cynicism and hypocrisy. I’m not sure those who seem bent on owning and controlling it all would understand or accept such a science. Could there be a better “New World Order” than is being shoved down our throats today?

Stevenson’s words did not mean any more than they say, and it should be said to us all. In America we are supposed to be able to tweak and change the wrongs we are living with today. A “science of spirit” would allow for BIG government grants to study the power of higher values and ethical practices, the money could pay us all to be a better human being’s. Better than the money spent by Big business and special interests buying the votes of our representatives through lobbying. We could study and eventually quantify the values of SPIRIT in our daily lives. We could provide a job for every American, or all the people of the world, we could work daily at living the higher values, ethics, morals tought to us all by the likes of Christ, Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, and so many other spiritual teachers and build a better economy at the same time. Could do this without destroying it all for money and power. Self-indulgence could be turned into selfless-indulgence.

I know this may sound silly but silly as it may sound it is better than allowing the morals and ethics of the chosen few to destroy it all for us all. GREED, HATRED, and IGNORANCE seem to establish the “New World Order”. Egomania, and self centeredness seem to be the cry of the “Chosen few”, (They know who they are and seem to think we are too stupid to see what they are doing. How about some other morals, or values to live by, could we live a better life in a better world with “Loving Ethics? Values could read something like this; Kindness, Honesty, Responsibility, Unity, Simplicity, Understanding, Tolerance, Acceptance, and most of all Spirituality…. Think about it………….
