Sometimes I need a smoothie with staying power! Almond milk can be time consuming (because I am picky and prefer it strained…) On days such as this, when I want creamy, rich AND fast, I make Tahini milk! It blends up smooth and is a terrific source of calcium.
1 T raw sesame tahini (sesame butter)
3 c water
1/4 t sea salt
3 T honey (or to taste, I was using a lot in this demo because I have very tart berries that went into the smoothie I was making with the milk)
The smoothie is made by adding
2 c frozen bananas,
1 c frozen strawberries and
1/2 c frozen blueberries.
(or whatever fruit is in season)
It has terrific staying power… and tastes delicious!
